When we consider Americans for financial independence, how often do we define freedom by our health? The fact of the matter is that the quality of our lives depends on our financial resources and our physical health is an integral part of how we become financially independent now or whether will will never achieve the freedom we seek.
A major expense that costs Americans a great portion of their earnings is health and life insurance. While millions of Americans may have group life and health insurance, there are millions of people who are self-employed or stay at home parents. As a result, Americans need to shop around for affordable life and health insurance policies.
When you discuss insurance with a broker, you will need to fill out an application and answer numerous questions about your health. If you use tobacco or have other health problems, it is highly likely you will pay higher rates for insurance. Trying to get life insurance when you are older will cost more than if you secured it when you were young because of age and possible health conditions.
The cost of life and health insurance can become steep and take a large chunk out of your budget. As a result, it can inhibit your ability to save money and attain financial freedom. One way to offset these costs it to live a healthy lifestyle. Stay away from smoking or overeating, exercise regularly, get adequate sleep and eat well-balanced meals for optimum health and minimal insurance costs.
By living a healthy life, you will also have more energy to enjoy yourself and earn extra money. Americans for financial freedom should make good health a top priority.
